Description

A long, long time ago Korn announced they were doing a covers album. One of the covers that was going to be on that album was Head Like A Hole with Chester Bennington. I made this to see what that cover might have been like.

The first step I took was finding a different cover of Head Like A Hole that sounded more like something Korn would do. From there I tried just applying the AI filters to the vocals from that version but wasn't happy with how that turned out in most places so I used Trent Reznor's vocals from the original Nine Inch Nails track as a basis for the AI. Even that didn't work perfectly in some places so I also recorded some vocals here and there to convert. After getting all of the vocals complete and put in place I got rid of some of the more "non-Korn" sounding moments in the original track (there were some guitar parts that Munky or Head would realistically never put in a Korn song) and added a little bit of Fieldy's bass to places in the song to make it feel more Korny.
