From a commercial audio cassette released in 1990 on the Meridian label (KE 77180) and featuring the choir of Salisbury Cathedral, directed by Richard Seal, with David Halls (organ).
“Es gingen zweene Menschen hinauf”, SWV 444, is one of Schütz’s later works. The parable of the Pharisee and the Publican (sometimes known as the “Pharisee and the Tax Collector”) is from Luke 18.
